Christian Lacroix ‘Creating Schiaparelli Couture’.
Christian Lacroix is rumoured to be designing a couture collection for Schiaparelli.
According to French newspaper L'Express, the designer will work with the luxury label on a one-off range of products.
Neither Christian nor Schiaparelli have confirmed the supposed collaboration, but it's thought the range will consist of 15 pieces, honouring late fashion mogul Elsa Schiaparelli.
If the collection goes ahead, it will likely be debuted at the Paris couture shows in July this year.
According to the publication, a press release is expected soon.
French designer Christian has his own label and has worked for Emilio Pucci in the past.
Schiaparelli made news yesterday when Marco Zanini was tipped to become head designer for the label.
The Italian currently works for Rochas in Paris and joins John Galliano as the latest fashion mogul to be linked to the brand.
Marco has enjoyed a successful tenure at Rochas, where he has drawn inspiration from the likes of Tim Burton films to create his distinctive aesthetic.
Schiaparelli closed in the 1950s amid claims original designer Elsa went bankrupt. The new launch's first line was due to be shown in January, but, lacking a head designer, the date has been moved back.
