Heidi Klum is known for her penchant for ornate Halloween costumes.
So when it came time to celebrate her 40th birthday on Saturday at the Hotel Bel-Air, the supermodel indulged her creative side by sporting a very special birthday hat.
Topping her long blonde locks as she made her way to the bash was a huge black top hat that was adorned with two miniature top hats.
Dressed similarly in dark colours, Heidi's bodyguard beau held her hand to steady her walk into the exquisite hotel.
He later changed into a black shirt, trousers and stetson as he brought Heidi's children Henry, Johan and Lou to the event, with the boys also sporting hats as the bash boasted a big hats theme.
This birthday is also special not just because it is the big 4-0 but because it is the model's first birthday with Martin.
Heidi and Martin - who has been her bodyguard for a number of years - have been dating since September 2012, after Heidi filed for divorce from Kiss From A Rose singer Seal in April 2012.
The model told Ellen DeGeneres recently that she was not worried about getting older.
The German stunner said: 'Forty is the new 30. I don't really care about aging. I'm happy. When I get one year older it means we're still here, having a good time.'
Arriving to the party after Heidi was a very pregnant Fergie.
The singers looked stunning in a multi-coloured pink dress that hugged her growing baby bump.

The British model is the face of the label's new White Lies collection, a 15-piece line focusing solely on the colour of the moment.

The 20-year-old strikes a pose in the campaign photos, showing off smart shirts, tailored trousers and slouchy, soft sweaters.

Also featuring in the all-white line-up is a pretty ruffled dress that will surely be big news for summer parties.

The blonde model wears her hair slicked back and loose as she looks longingly into the distance, wearing the frilly frock.

The collection will be available from April 29 and Suki has also given a sneak peek at what's to come in a short clip for French Connection and Grazia magazine.

The video shows the gorgeous star striking her poses and also laughing as she enjoys herself during the shoot.

White was big news on the Spring/Summer 13 catwalk for labels like Louis Vuitton and can easily be incorporated into every new-season wardrobe.

Whereas it might seem like a tricky colour to pull off, team with black and go for a monochrome approach if you prefer.

Suki, who is currently dating Hollywood hunk Bradley Cooper, is also keeping busy with other projects.

The model recently teased she will be making an appearance on the silver screen soon.

'I’ve got an acting project coming up that I’m starting really soon and I’m so excited,' she divulged to British newspaper The Telegraph.

Rosario Dawson's make-up artist says 'a little goes a long way' when creating her red carpet looks.

The actress recently turned heads at the premiere of her latest film Trance where she dazzled in a scarlet sequinned number.

Rosario's make-up artist Mary Greenwell says her sparkling form was the result of a gorgeous gown and flawless face.

'Rosario looked stunning in her Jenny Packham dress, so the aim was to create soft clean make-up with an emphasis on the eyes,' Mary told UK magazine Hello!

'[For smouldering eyes] a little goes a long way on someone as beautiful as Rosario. So I started by applying Chanel Illusion d'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Ebloui to the lids, smudging it with my finger, then brushing up onto the brow bone, to keep the look natural. I used a thick liner at the roots of the lashes, to give a dark, smouldering look, followed by two coats of lengthening and curling mascaras.'

Mary says she created a warm glowing complexion with subtle flushed cheeks for Rosario's face. The finishing touch was a rosy red lip, to complement the shade of the gown.

'Rosario has beautiful colouring and always has a healthy glow so I applied a light veil of Chanel Hydra Beauty Crème,' she explained.

'Rosario needs little colour on her incredible lips, so I simply moisturised with some Sisley Confort Extreme Levres, then added a little UNE Sheer Lips Balm in S08.'
